GLOW
Special Needs Ministry for Children
Ministry Start Date: January 8, 2012
Who benefits from GLOW?
Any child, birth through 5th grade, with developmental or medical disabilities will benefit from this program. The GLOW program is provided so that parents/guardians may attend the service and know their children are in a caring and structured environment.
What does GLOW provide?
If the child's disability is such that he/she is unable to benefit from participating in a traditional Sunday school classroom, he/she may spend the service time in the GLOW classroom (M1, 2nd floor).
The GLOW classroom will provide:
-Sensory and special learning components
-The opportunity for each child to participate at his/her ability level
-Modified lessons, comparable to those taught in the traditional classroom
If the child's disability is such that he/she can be integrated, he/she may be paired with a "buddy" and attend an age-appropriate Sunday school class during the 9:15am or 10:45am services.
What GLOW is not...
GLOW does not provide therapy, behavioral modification programs, or medical interventions (typical emergency protocol will be followed). If there is a behavioral program in place, we will incorporate that on Sunday mornings based on parental guidance and tools provided to us.
How do you enroll in GLOW?
